hi hi!

I'M ACTUALLY THRILLED YOU'RE HERE

When I was pregnant with my second kid, I was hit with an Instagram ad for a pre/postnatal yoga teacher training. During that training, it was like something in me came alive. I KNEW this was my calling—to help other women navigate this transformative journey.

But it wasn't until my second birth that everything I had learned was really put to the test. Unlike my first, this birth was hard–really hard. I felt unprepared despite all my training and prior experience. So when my third birth came, I approached things differently. Instead of relying fully on intuition, I found a balance between “listening to my body” and using tangible skills and tools (here’s looking at you, heating pad on my back for six hours). And while that birth wasn't easy, I felt present, capable, and strong throughout.

STRONG PREGNANCY   |   EMPOWERED BIRTH   |   POSTPARTUM RECOVERY   |   PELVIC FLOOR HEALTH

Julia, first-time mom

"I fully credit Sarah's prenatal yoga class with changing my pregnancy experience and also making labor feel possible. Yoga with Sarah empowered my experience and the mantras were absolutely what got me through contractions!"

Katrina, first-time mom

"For me, the sessions weren't so much about the physical progress as they were about the mental progress and rebuilding a mind/body wholeness & oneness in the midst of some really serious and scary postpartum anxiety."

Maggi, mom of 2

"I could feel that I was going to tear badly if I pushed so I didn't want to do that, so I literally thought of Sarah in that moment of terrible pain and how I should inhale and relax the pelvic floor on my next contraction and I did and she came falling out!"

SEE WHAT THE HYPE IS ALL ABOUT

FAST FORWARD TO TODAY

I don’t (can’t!) promise perfect births, but I do equip moms with tools to face whatever comes their way. Because the reality is while we cannot control our experience, we certainly can influence it, and that’s what I’m here to help you do.

What started as NYC in-person classes has grown into comprehensive online programs supporting moms through every stage: preparation for birth, postpartum recovery, rebuilding core / pelvic floor strength, and finding confidence in their new bodies. I've seen women transform not just physically, but in how they view themselves and their capabilities.

I don't just speak from personal experience—I've dedicated myself to understanding the pregnant and postpartum body through extensive professional training. My credentials include certification as a Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (Dr. Sarah Duvall), 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (Yoga with Carson Academy), Pre/Postnatal Yoga certification (MOGA), and Vinyasa Immersion (Awakening Yoga Academy). This foundation, combined with years teaching pre/postnatal yoga classes in NYC and my own journey through three unmedicated home births, gives me a unique perspective on supporting women through all stages of motherhood.

I push back against harmful narratives in the world of motherhood—that traumatic births are normal, that your body is "ruined" after babies, that peeing when you sneeze is just life now. None of these have to be your reality.

I do things a bit differently around here. Blame it on my former life as a kindergarten ESL teacher, but I actually care that you learn. I don't just teach exercises—I build understanding. I don't believe one type of birth is superior to others. And I focus on you taking care of yourself, not just your baby.

Because when you're informed, strong, and supported, everything changes—not just your birth, but how you move through motherhood itself.

EMPOWERMENT — You are an active participant

I believe you should never feel like a passive bystander in your pregnancy, birth, or postpartum journey. I'm committed to providing the knowledge, tools, and support that help you make informed decisions and trust your body's innate wisdom. When you understand what's happening and why, everything changes.

EDUCATION — Knowledge over misinformation

The motherhood space is filled with outdated advice and limiting beliefs. I promise to share accurate, evidence-based information that counters misconceptions and enables confident decision-making. You deserve to know what's really happening in your body—not just what tradition says.

INDIVIDUALITY — Your journey is uniquely yours

I'll never promote a one-size-fits-all approach. Your experience is shaped by your body, your baby, and your circumstances. What worked for someone else might not work for you—and that's perfectly okay. I'm here to help you discover what works best for your unique situation.

INCLUSIVITY — All births deserve respect

Whether you're planning an unmedicated home birth or a scheduled C-section, your choices deserve respect and support. No birth type is inherently better than another. What matters is that you feel informed, empowered, and at peace with your experience, whatever form it takes.

SELF-CARE — Mothers matter too

I firmly believe that taking care of yourself isn't selfish—it's essential. When you prioritize your physical and mental wellbeing, everyone benefits. I'll always advocate for mothers caring for themselves, not just their babies. You can't pour from an empty cup.

I THINK I TOOK THIS WAY TOO FAR

To be honest, it wasn’t until I was 8 weeks pregnant with my first kid that I realized I’m actually kind of a hippie. Three unmedicated home births, sourdough starter in my fridge, a preference for buying secondhand, unschooling…the list goes on.

I do think, though, that becoming a mother teaches us about who we truly are. (And I mean that in the best way possible, because we also tend to see the darkest side of ourselves here, too! Thank God for the unconditional love of our kids who remind us we’re actually wonderful, loving humans, even when things are hard.)

What started as trying to not have a traumatic birth story like all the ones I had heard ended up transforming my life into a full-blown passion for empowering women through their own journeys. Now I can't imagine doing anything else with my life other than helping moms find strength they didn't know they had—in pregnancy, in birth, and in the beautiful chaos of motherhood that follows.
